So I finally worked up the nerve to do my first public selling event. It was supposed to be an outdoor flea market, so I bought a brand new E-Z up canopy (to the tune of nearly $200) and I made flyers to advertise the event.
Well, today I found out that the neighbors who share the parking lot with the lady who is promoting the event have decided they don't want people setting up and selling in their parking lot. So now we have to move inside her business. I have to make some adjustments but I'm sure it will still work out.
It turns out that we will be sharing time and space with the Second Saturday event that the Fair Oaks Village holds on the second Saturday (wow!) of each month. They have art, food, wine & sometimes even live music. This sounds like the perfect atmosphere for my jewelry!
I'm really excited, but also nervous. I am sure there will be some kinks but it's just something I will have to go through in order to figure it all out. My husband and his mom have volunteered to help me out. The truth is I will be happy if I sell enough to cover my entrance fee!
