Men like to wear jewelry for the same reason women do, to express their individuality. I have heard from lots of guys that they would like to wear jewelry, but they just can't find anything they like. They want something that is masculine, not cute! I have made several custom necklaces for guys and they like them so much they wear them every day. When I design a necklace intended to be worn by a guy I like to use particularly masculine elements, such as blackstone, wood, sterling silver, and other earthy details. I also like to use magnetic clasps in my men's necklaces because they have larger fingers (and sometimes less patience when it comes to jewelry) which can make it difficult to open and close the small clasps I use in my other necklaces. I always test the magnets for strength before I use them though. Necklaces made with weak clasps have been known to fall off when boys are being boys!
